Mark Twain said, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”  I have been teaching children for over 25 years, and truly love it!  Throughout my career as a public school teacher my students were a mixed population of gifted, general and special education students.  The diversity of this experience enabled me to fluidly meet the needs of my students.  My primary goal as an educator has always been to create an environment where children feel safe to respectfully question ideas and concepts that are being taught.  This is a skill that when developed can transform a person into a leader in any field.  As I saw the public school system confining students’ opportunities to learn and grow in their unique ways I knew my time there was coming to an end.  As fate would have it I was gifted a chance to take a leap of faith and co-create the Learning Center of my dreams….The Future Rising.    This gift allows me to merge my knowledge of metaphysics with the core academic concepts.  This is a tremendous benefit to the students overall learning experience as well as their emotional and physical wellness.  It is an honor to be on the cutting edge of a true Holistic learning experience for these children. 

 As a Holistic Health Practitioner receiving a Masters Degree in Holistic Health Sciences I felt a strong pull to create a Holistic Health curriculum for ages 4 and beyond. My curriculum was taught in workshops and I traveled across Long Island incorporating mindfulness, empowerment, nutrition and various healing movements to public school children ranging from K-12. Since teaching those workshops my vision of expanding into a Holistic learning center has come to be!  Why not create a world where children are encouraged to explore and ask questions? A safe place for them to feel heard and holistically supported in ways that generations before where not. Never one to be finished with learning, I'm currently pursuing my Naturopathic MD degree at the University of Health and Spiritual Sciences. Forever learning is something that we instill in the students that come to The Future Rising. The love and excitement of learning new things with the pairing of inner voice empowerment is how we will help shape the next generation of trailblazers.  I couldn't be more proud of the work we do and the children we guide!

I am beyond excited to be a part of The Future Rising Holistic Learning Center team. I’ve always been drawn to working with children.  I love their willingness to learn, which inspired me to work at a summer camp during high school.

When my son was younger, he was my inspiration to create and implement a Community Play Group.  I provided a positive, loving, safe and engaging interactive learning environment that allowed the hearts and minds of the children to blossom.   I understand that each child is an individual and will play and learn in their own unique way.  It has always brought me such joy to see children enjoy the simple things in life.

I have always been deeply passionate about living a holistic, healthy lifestyle. In 2012, I embarked on a journey of self discovery and deep healing which allowed me to open my heart even further, expand my consciousness, connect to my inner voice and my true authentic self. During this time, I was certified in many different holistic spiritual modalities.

I am a dedicated educator with 15 years of experience as a public school teacher. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of guiding students from preschool through grade 6, including both general and special education. I have utilized many techniques and strategies to meet the needs of all learners. My approach to education is to create an environment where each child's intellectual,  emotional,  and social development is nurtured. Teaching is not just a profession for me, it's my passion! I find great joy in watching my students grow, learn and achieve their goals. Every moment of their progress and every step they take forward reaffirms why I chose this path. I am so happy to be part of this community and can't wait to share this journey with all of you.
